     Susan Anne Sawyer was the daughter of Admiral unknown Sawyer.2 She married Charles Hope-Vere, son of Hon. Charles Hope-Vere and Lady Anne Vane.1 She died on 10 July 1802.1
     Her married name became Hope-Vere.

     Maj.-Gen. James Patisson Cockburn was born on 18 March 1779.2 He married Elizabeth Johanna Vansittart on 14 April 1800 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.2 He died on 18 March 1847 at age 68.2
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Artillery.1

     Elisa Johanna Catherine Cockburn was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Patisson Cockburn and Elizabeth Johanna Vansittart.3 She married Maj.-Gen. Frederick Hope, son of Charles Hope-Vere and Susan Anne Sawyer, on 15 January 1829 at Quebec, Canada.1,2 She died on 25 June 1877.1
     From 15 January 1829, her married name became Hope.

     Frederick Henry Hope was born on 24 June 1832.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Frederick Hope and Elisa Johanna Catherine Cockburn.2 He married Anna Maria Elizabeth Gosling, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Charles Gosling, on 4 January 1860.1 He died on 23 December 1866 at age 34 at Madras, IndiaG, accidentally drowned.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Royals.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Madras.1

     From 4 January 1860, her married name became Hope.
