Sophia Huffington was the daughter of William Huffington.2 She married William Findlater, son of John Findlater and Janet Dempster, on 6 June 1822.1 She died on 9 February 1831.1

Sir William Huffington Findlater was born on 1 January 1824.1 He was the son of William Findlater and Sophia Huffington.2 He married, firstly, Mary Jane Wolfe, daughter of John Wolfe, on 1 September 1853.1 He married, secondly, Marion Park, daughter of Lt.-Col. Archibald Park, on 26 February 1878 at Thanet, Kent, England.1 He died on 16 April 1906 at age 82.1
He was a practising Solicitor in 1846.1 He was President of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland in 1878.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monaghan between 1880 and 1885.1 He was Chairmam of Findlater's Mountjoy Brewery and Armstrong & Company Ltd.1 He was President of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland in 1897.1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1897.1 He was Director of Dublin Artisans' Dwelling Company Ltd.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Dublin.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin.1 He lived at 22 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He lived at Fernside, Killiney, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
