Coplestone Richard George Warwick Bampfylde, 3rd Baron Poltimore was born on 29 November 1859.1 He was the son of Augustus Frederick George Warwick Bampfylde, 2nd Baron Poltimore and Florence Sarah Wilhelmine Sheridan.1 He married Hon. Margaret Harriet Beaumont, daughter of Wentworth Blackett Beaumont, 1st Baron Allendale and Lady Margaret Anne de Burgh, on 19 May 1881.2 He died on 2 November 1918 at age 58.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Life Guards.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal North Devon Yeomanry.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Poltimore, of Poltimore, co. Devon [U.K., 1831] on 3 May 1908.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Bamfylde, of Poltimore, co. Florence Coulston Gardner was the daughter of Alan Legge Gardner, 3rd Baron Gardner and Julia Sarah Hayfield Fortescue.1 She married William Hillier Onslow, 4th Earl of Onslow, son of George Augustus Cranley Onslow and Mary Harriet Anne Loftus, on 3 February 1875 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.2 She died on 8 August 1934.3

Alan Legge Gardner, 3rd Baron Gardner was born on 29 January 1810.2 He was the son of Admiral Alan Hyde Gardner, 2nd Baron Gardner and Hon. Charlotte Elizabeth Smith.3,2 He married, firstly, Hon. Frances Margaret Hughes, daughter of William Lewis Hughes, 1st Baron Dinorben of Kinmel Park, on 1 December 1835.2 He married, secondly, Julia Sarah Hayfield Fortescue, daughter of Edward E. T. Fortescue, in 1848.2 He died on 2 November 1883 at age 73.2
