Lady Jane Hay was the daughter of Field Marshal George Hay, 8th Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Susan Montagu.2,1 She married General Sir Richard Chambre Hayes Taylor, son of Rev. Hon. Henry Edward Taylour and Marianne St. Leger, on 9 June 1863.1 She died on 13 December 1920.1

General Sir Richard Chambre Hayes Taylor was born on 19 March 1819.1 He was the son of Rev. Hon. Henry Edward Taylour and Marianne St. Leger.1 He married Lady Jane Hay, daughter of Field Marshal George Hay, 8th Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Susan Montagu, on 9 June 1863.1 He died on 6 December 1904 at age 85.1
He gained the rank of Colonel in the Cameron Highlanders.1 He was the Governor between 1883 and 1886 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was Adjutant-General.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1

Lady Hannah Charlotte Maitland was baptised on 5 November 1762 at Ratho, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of James Maitland, 7th Earl of Lauderdale and Mary Turner Lombe.1,3 She married George Hay, 7th Marquess of Tweeddale, son of John Hay and Dorothy Hayhurst, on 18 April 1785.3 She died on 8 May 1804 at age 41.3
Her married name became Hay. After her marriage, Lady Hannah Charlotte Maitland was styled as Marchioness of Tweeddale on 16 November 1787. He was imprisoned with his wife in the fortress of Verdun by Napoleon.4

Sir James Hay of Linplum, 1st Bt. was the son of Hon. Sir William Hay and Anna Murray.1 He married by contract, firstly, Jean Scott, daughter of Patrick Scott of Tanlawhill, on 4 February 1661.1 He married, secondly, Anna Livingston on 27 April 1682.1 He died in 1704.1
