Murray Edward Gordon Finch-Hatton, 12th Earl of Winchilsea was born on 28 March 1851.1 He was the son of George William Finch-Hatton, 10th Earl of Winchilsea and Frances Margaretta Rice.1 He married Edith Harcourt, daughter of Edward William Harcourt and Lady Susan Harriet Holroyd, on 27 October 1875.2 He died on 7 September 1898 at age 47.1

Henry Stormont Finch-Hatton, 13th Earl of Winchilsea was born on 3 November 1852.1 He was the son of George William Finch-Hatton, 10th Earl of Winchilsea and Frances Margaretta Rice.2 He married Anne Jane Codrington, daughter of Admiral Sir Henry John Codrington and Helen Jane Smith, on 12 January 1882.2 He died on 14 August 1927 at age 74.1
