     John Russell, Viscount Amberley was born on 10 December 1842.1 He was the son of John Russell, 1st Earl Russell and Lady Frances Anna Maria Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound.1 He married Lady Katherine Louisa Stanley, daughter of Edward John Stanley, 2nd Baron Stanley of Alderley and Hon. Henrietta Maria Dillon-Lee, on 8 November 1864.1 He died on 9 January 1876 at age 33.1
     He was styled as Viscount Amberley between 1861 and 1876.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottingham.2

     Mary du Caurroy Tribe was born on 26 September 1865 at Stockbridge, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 She was the daughter of Venerable Walter Harry Tribe and Sophie Lander.1 She married Herbrand Arthur Russell, 11th Duke of Bedford, son of Francis Charles Hastings Russell, 9th Duke of Bedford and Lady Elizabeth Sackville-West, on 31 January 1888 at Barrackpore, IndiaG.1,3 She died on 22 March 1937 at age 71, after leaving Woburn in a plane, and was never seen again.3
     Her married name became Russell. After her marriage, Mary du Caurroy Tribe was styled as Duchess of Bedford on 23 March 1893. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)4 She was appointed Fellow, Linnean Society of the Imperial College (F.L.S.)4 She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1928.4 She broke the record for a flight to South Africa in the 1930s.4

     Hastings William Sackville Russell, 12th Duke of Bedford was born on 21 December 1888.1 He was the son of Herbrand Arthur Russell, 11th Duke of Bedford and Mary du Caurroy Tribe.1 He married Louisa Crommelin Roberta Jowitt Whitwell, daughter of Robert Jowitt Whitwell, on 21 November 1914.2 He died on 9 October 1953 at age 64, as a result of a shooting accident.2
