Sir Alexander Gordon of Culvennan was born in 1748.2 He was the son of William Gordon and Isabel McCulloch Gordon.2 He married Grace Dalrymple, daughter of James Dalrymple of Dunragit and Grace McDouall, on 17 July 1769.2 He died on 21 October 1830.2
He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1771.2 He lived at Culvennan, ScotlandG.2
