Eliza Napier was the daughter of Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone.2 She was also reported to have been married on 13 August 1847 at Ettrick Church, Selkirkshire, Scotland.3 She married Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Heron-Maxwell, on 18 August 1847.1 She died on 2 April 1901.1
     From 18 August 1847, her married name became Dalrymple-Hay.1

     James Francis Dalrymple-Hay was born on 31 May 1848.1 He was the son of Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Eliza Napier.2 He married Ellen Douglas Johnston-Stewart, daughter of Robert Hathorn Johnston-Stewart of Physgill and Glasserton, on 15 April 1873.1 He died on 1 May 1908 at age 59.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.1 He held the office of Member of the Ayrshire County Council.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayrshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ayrshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wigtownshire.1

     Ellen Douglas Johnston-Stewart was the daughter of Robert Hathorn Johnston-Stewart of Physgill and Glasserton.2 She married James Francis Dalrymple-Hay, son of Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Eliza Napier, on 15 April 1873.1 She died on 2 April 1901.1
     From 15 April 1873, her married name became Dalrymple-Hay.1

     Eleanor Louisa Dalrymple-Hay was born circa 1876.2 She was the daughter of James Francis Dalrymple-Hay and Ellen Douglas Johnston-Stewart.3 She married Brig.-Gen. John Archibald Houison-Craufurd of Craufordland, son of Colonel John Reginald Howison Craufurd of Carufurdland Castle and Mary Dundas Hamilton, on 27 August 1903.1 She died on 15 December 1950.1
     From 27 August 1903, her married name became Houison-Craufurd.1 She was Headmistress between 1928 and 1931 at Westonbirt School, EnglandG.1 She was the Principal between 1932 and 1950 at Downham School, Essex, EnglandG.1

     Brig.-Gen. John Archibald Houison-Craufurd of Craufordland was born on 10 May 1862.2 He was the son of Colonel John Reginald Howison Craufurd of Carufurdland Castle and Mary Dundas Hamilton.2 He married Eleanor Louisa Dalrymple-Hay, daughter of James Francis Dalrymple-Hay and Ellen Douglas Johnston-Stewart, on 27 August 1903.1 He died on 27 July 1933 at age 71.2
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the Indian Army.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force.1

     Sir William Archibald Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 4th Bt. was born on 30 January 1851.1 He was the son of Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Eliza Napier.2 He married Mary McChlery, daughter of William McChlery, on 2 June 1906.1 He died on 5 February 1929 at age 78, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dalrymple-Hay, of Park Place, co. Wigtown [G.B., 1798] on 28 January 1912.1
