     Edward Barton was the son of William Barton and Frances Murray.1 He married Mary Galbraith, daughter of John Galbraith.1 His will (dated 23 February 1796) was proven (by probate) on 2 April 1801.1
     He lived at Spring Hill, County Tyrone, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1777.1 He lived at Boa Island, Kesh, County Fermanagh, IrelandG.1
