     From 29 October 1815, her married name became Barton.¹ Her married name became Smith.¹

     Ralph Babington was the son of Humphrey Babington and Catherine Hamilton.² He married Rebecca Scanlon, daughter of James Scanlan and Anne Babington, in May 1789.² He died in February 1806.²
     He lived at Greenfort, County Donegal, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Donegal in 1794.²

     Maria MacLaughlin was the daughter of William MacLaughlin.¹ She married Baptist Johnston Barton, son of Major Baptist Johnston Barton and Catherine Babington, on 21 June 1842.¹ She died on 21 November 1875.¹
     From 21 June 1842, her married name became Barton.¹
