Major David Barrow was born on 7 December 1910 at Camberley, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of General Sir George de Symons Barrow and Sybilla Way.1 He died on 21 June 1944 at age 33, killed in action.1,2
He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was commissioned on 29 January 1931 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the 2nd Battalion, Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1934.2 He fought in the Second World War.1
