     George Bagenal was the son of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper.1 He died in 1650, killed in action. During a skirmish in the Rebellion.1
     He fought in the English Civil War.1

Colonel Dudley Bagenal1,2

     Colonel Dudley Bagenal was born circa 1638.2 He was the son of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper.1 He married, secondly, Ann Butler, daughter of Hon. Edward Butler and Elizabeth Mathew, in 1668.2 He died on 9 August 1712.2
     He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1658.2 He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He lived at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, IrelandG.2 He was restored to his Carlow estates by King Charles I circa 1660.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Old Leighlin in 1668.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlow in 1689.2 He fought in the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, as a Colonel of an Infantry Regiment.2 He was subsequently attainted with his estates forfeit.2 He held the office of Gentleman Usher to King James II at the Court of St. Germains.2

     Katherine Bagenal was the daughter of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper.1 She married, firstly, John Corbet, Baron of Idrone.1 She married, secondly, Patrick Colclough, son of Dudley Colclough and Katherine Esmonde.2 She died on 6 November 1700.2
     Her married name became Corbet.1 Her married name became Colclough.2

John Corbet, Baron of Idrone1

     John Corbet, Baron of Idrone married Katherine Bagenal, daughter of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper.1
     He obtained the Barony of Idrone, forfeited by his father-in-law, through his uncle, who as Chief Baron of Ireland had sanctioned his father-in-law's death.1,2

     Patrick Colclough was the son of Dudley Colclough and Katherine Esmonde.2 He married Katherine Bagenal, daughter of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper.1 He died in 1691.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Wexford.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1688.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Enniscorthy in 1689.2 He lived at Duffrey Hall, County Wexford, IrelandG.1

     Ann Butler was the daughter of Hon. Edward Butler and Elizabeth Mathew.1 She married Colonel Dudley Bagenal, son of Colonel Walter Bagenal and Hon. Elizabeth Roper, in 1668.1
     From 1668, her married name became Bagenal.1 She was an invaluable intriguer for the Jacobite cause in exile, and was largely instrumental in recruiting the 2nd Duke of Ormonde.1
