Charles Standish Paulet was born in October 1873.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles William Paulet and Susan Amelia Georgina Standish.1 He married Lillian Jane Charlotte Fosbery, daughter of Major William Thomas Exham Fosbery and Jane Charlotte Boothby, on 24 October 1901.1 He died on 18 September 1953 at age 79.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Warwickshire Yeomanry.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was Major and Deputy Director-General of Supply, Ministry of Munitions between 1915 and 1919.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1917.1
