Harriet Alexander1

     Harriet Alexander was the daughter of Richard Alexander-Shaw.2 She married, firstly, Arthur John Childe-Freeman on 19 April 1887.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Richard Prescott-Decie, son of Timothy Henry Decie and Catherine Hale Prescott, on 14 April 1904.1 She died on 4 April 1907.1
     From 19 April 1887, her married name became Childe-Freeman. From 14 April 1904, her married name became Prescott-Decie.1

     Colonel Richard Prescott-Decie was born on 28 May 1838 at Ireland.2 He was the son of Timothy Henry Decie and Catherine Hale Prescott.3 He married, firstly, Arabella Prescott, daughter of William George Prescott, on 2 October 1860.2 He married, secondly, Harriet Alexander, daughter of Richard Alexander-Shaw, on 14 April 1904.1 He married, thirdly, Alice Henrietta Dew, daughter of Major Frederick Napleton Dew, on 23 January 1908 at Kensington, London, England.2 He married, fourthly, Idrene I. M. Cosens in 1919 at Bath, Somerset, England.4 He died on 23 December 1927 at age 89.1
     He was given the name of Richard Decie at birth.2 He was also known as Richard Deasy.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.2 On 22 December 1866 his name was legally changed to Richard Prescott-Decie by Royal Licence.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Worcestershire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd and 4th Battalions (Militia), Worcestershire Regiment.2 He lived at Bockleton Court, Worcestershire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Chairman of the Herefordshire County Council.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Herefordshire.1
