Sir Thomas Sydney Lea, 2nd Bt. was born on 28 January 1867.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Lea, 1st Bt. and Louey Birch.2 He married Mary Ophelia Woodward, daughter of Robert Woodward and Mary Jane Turner, on 5 September 1896.1 He died on 18 November 1946 at age 79.1
