Sir Walter Borrowes, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1620.1 He was the son of Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 1st Bt. and Sarah Weldon.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Fitzgerald, daughter of George FitzGerald, 16th Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan Boyle, on 16 February 1656.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Loftus, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Adam Loftus and Jane Vaughan, after 1681.1 He died in 1685.1 He was buried at Gilltown, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in 1691.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Borrowes, of Grangemellon, co. Kildare [I., 1646] circa 1650.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare in 1673.1 He lived at Gilltown, County Kildare, IrelandG.1
