Sir Robert Kerr, younger of Cessford was the son of Walter Kerr of Cessford and Agnes Crichton.1 A contract for the marriage of Sir Robert Kerr, younger of Cessford and Christian Rutherfoord was signed on 12 February 1484.1 He died after 6 November 1500.1

Walter Kerr of Cessford was the son of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford and unknown daughter Douglas.2 He married, firstly, Isabel Hay, daughter of John Hay, 1st Lord Hay of Yester.3 He married Agnes Crichton, daughter of William Crichton of that Ilk, 1st Lord Crichton, on 20 October 1487.1 He died on 25 November 1501.

Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford was born in 1405 at Auldtounburn, Roxburghshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Tweedie, daughter of James Tweedie of Drummelzier.1 He married, firstly, unknown daughter Douglas, daughter of William Douglas, 2nd of Cavers.1 He died after 8 May 1481.1

Andrew Kerr, younger of Aultounbrun and Cessford was the son of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford and unknown daughter Douglas.2,3 He married Margaret Hepburn, daughter of Sir Patrick Hepburn, 1st Lord Hailes and Ellen Wallace.1 He died circa 27 April 1467.2
