Catharine Gostlin was the daughter of Sir William Gostlin.1 She married Sir Henry Bendish, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Bendish, 3rd Bt. and Martha Betteson, in February 1706/7 at St. Paul's Cathedral, The City, London, EnglandG.1 She died circa 1738.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered to her brother, Charles Gostlin on 20 March 1738/39.1

Reverend Julius Benn was born circa 1826.1 He was the son of William Benn.1 He married Ann Taylor, daughter of William Taylor, on 13 February 1850.1 He was murdered on 4 March 1883 at Matlock, Derbyshire, EnglandG, by William Rutherford Benn, battered to death with a chamberpot.1,2

Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. was born on 13 November 1850.1 He was the son of Reverend Julius Benn and Ann Taylor.1 He married Elizabeth Pickston, daughter of John Pickston, on 1 July 1874.1 He died on 10 April 1922 at age 71.1
He was a director of Benn Brothers, Publishers at London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Tower Hamlets, St. George Division between 1892 and 1895.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of London.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for London.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
