Sir Ernest John Pickstone Benn, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 June 1875.1 He was the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.1 He married Gwendolen Dorothy Andrews, daughter of Frederick May Andrews, on 3 January 1903.1 He died in 1954.1
He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was Chairman of Benn Brothers, Publishers.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Benn, of Old Knoll, Lewisham [U.K., 1914] on 10 April 1922.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of London in 1932.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

William Wedgwood Benn, 1st Viscount Stansgate was born on 10 May 1877.2 He is the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.1 He married Margaret Eadie Holmes, daughter of Daniel Turner Holmes, on 17 November 1920.2 He died on 17 November 1960 at age 83.2
He was educated at Paris, France.2 He graduated from University College London, London, England, in 1903 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
