     Ker Bellenden, 4th Lord Bellenden of Broughton was born on 22 October 1725.1 He was the son of John Bellenden, 3rd Lord Bellenden of Broughton and Mary Parnell.1 He was baptised on 11 December 1725 at Walkerne, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He married Elizabeth Brett, daughter of Richard Brett, on 13 March 1749 at Erith, EnglandG.1 He died on 2 March 1753 at age 27 at Woolwich, London, EnglandG.1 He was buried at Westmill, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in August 1753.1
     He held the office of Heritable Usher of the Exchequer [Scotland] on 16 March 1740/41.1 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Bellenden of Broughton, in Midlothian [S., 1661] on 16 March 1740/41.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.1

     Elizabeth Brett was the daughter of Richard Brett.1 She married Ker Bellenden, 4th Lord Bellenden of Broughton, son of John Bellenden, 3rd Lord Bellenden of Broughton and Mary Parnell, on 13 March 1749 at Erith, EnglandG.1 She died on 21 January 1798 at Fareham, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 14 January 1792) was proven (by probate) on 1 February 1798.1
     After her marriage, Elizabeth Brett was styled as Baroness Bellenden of Broughton on 13 March 1749. From 13 March 1749, her married name became Bellenden.1

     John Ker Bellenden, 5th Lord Bellenden of Broughton was born on 22 August 1751 at Woolwich, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Ker Bellenden, 4th Lord Bellenden of Broughton and Elizabeth Brett.1 He was baptised on 23 September 1751.1 He married Sarah (?) on 26 June 1787 at Leith, ScotlandG.1 He died on 20 October 1796 at age 45 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, without issue.1
     He held the office of Heritable Usher of the Exchequer [Scotland] on 2 March 1753.1 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Bellenden of Broughton, in Midlothian [S., 1661] on 2 March 1753.1 He gained the rank of Ensign in 1775 in the 25th Regiment.1
     As he was insolvent at his death, his office of Heritable Usher was sold by order of the Court of Session.1

     Her married name became Cumming.2 She lived at Montego Bay, Jamaica.2 From 26 June 1787, her married name became Bellenden.1 After her marriage, Sarah (?) was styled as Baroness Bellenden of Broughton on 26 June 1787.

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Dragoon Guards.2

     William Bellenden-Ker, 4th Duke of Roxburghe was baptised on 20 October 1728 at Ashton under Hill, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was born on 20 October 1728.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. William Bellenden and Jacomina Farmer.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Burroughs, daughter of Rev. Dr. unknown Burroughs, on 7 December 1750.1 He married, secondly, Mary Bechinoe, daughter of Captain Benjamin Bechinoe and Susanna Smith, on 29 June 1789.3 He died on 22 October 1805 at age 77, without surviving issue.2

     John de Bellew, Lord Bellew married, firstly, Ladereyne de Brus, daughter of Sir Piers de Brus II and Hawise FitzReinfrid.1 He married Isabel (?) after 1295.2 He died in 1301.1
