     Assène Ludwig Alexander Graf von Hartenau was born on 16 January 1890 at Graz, AustriaG.2 He was the son of Alexander Joseph Prinz von Battenberg and Johanna Maria Louise Loisinger.1 He married Bertha Hussa, daughter of Dr. Joseph Hussa and Maria Huth, on 7 May 1934 at Vienna, AustriaG.2 He died on 15 March 1965 at age 75 at Vienna, AustriaG.1
     He adopted Wilhelm von Hartenau.

     Bertha Hussa was born on 1 December 1892 at Hermagor, Carinthia, AustriaG.2 She was the daughter of Dr. Joseph Hussa and Maria Huth.1,2 She married, firstly, Alois Polaczek before 1915.2 She married, secondly, Max Ritter Reidl von Riedenau before 1934.1 She married, thirdly, Assène Ludwig Alexander Graf von Hartenau, son of Alexander Joseph Prinz von Battenberg and Johanna Maria Louise Loisinger, on 7 May 1934 at Vienna, AustriaG.2 She died on 4 November 1971 at age 78 at Vienna, AustriaG.2
     From before 1915, her married name became Polaczek.2 From before 1934, her married name became Reidl von Riedenau.1 From 7 May 1934, her married name became von Hartenau.2
