Paradise Lanes

Paradise Lanes is the twenty-sixth mission of Splatoon 2's single player mode Octo Canyon.

Octo Canyon

Take a blue or yellow saucer and drop off at a checkpoint with signs of both saucer lines. Hit the splat switch ahead, and it will cause the block it is on to start rotating. Get on it and get onto another one rotating vertically. Get to the highest point of the structure and hit the splat switch under the platform above the player. This will lower the platform on which the kettle sits on.

Beginning Area

In front is a large square platform with a lane of Octoballers through the center, two Rocket Twintacle Octotroopers and two Balloon Fishes on either side, and crates and uninkable barriers scattered about. Further ahead is a rotating platform below a grate extended from a wall, of which Octoballers fall from over the wall. An Octoballer launcher sits on top of the block, and another smaller platform extends from the far right corner of the block where sits the launchpad to the next checkpoint. Navigate through the whole lot and get to the launchpad.

Checkpoint 1

Ahead is a thin path with a grate at the end, followed by another thin path below with an Twintacle Octotrooper and a canned Ink Storm close behind, and a larger rotating platform regularly swept by two lanes of Octoballers with another canned Ink Storm. Drop down and defeat the Twintacle Octotrooper, then time and drop onto the rotating platform. Navigate your way between the Octoballers, grab the Ink Storm if possible, ink and climb onto the block where the Octoballer launcher sits. Turn right to a platform extended to the right, climb the wall and get to the next checkpoint on top of the wall.

Checkpoint 2

Ahead is another thin path, followed by another rotating structure with an armor piece and an Octotrooper, regularly swept by two lanes of Octoballers. Navigate through between the Octoballers, ink, climb up the block with the Octoballer launchers, and use the launchpad on the platform to the right extended from the block to the next checkpoint.

Checkpoint 3

Bust through the crates ahead. Ahead are two lanes of platforms where the player has to climb up using Gushers of the other lane, regularly swept through by triple-stacked Octoballers. Go straight across the left lane, then race to the platform on the right across the right lane. Wait for the Octoballers on the right lane to pass, then activate the Gusher ahead to block the Octoballers. Get up using the Gusher, then drop off on the left onto the next checkpoint on the platform between the two lanes.

Checkpoint 4

Wait and race to the platform on the left across the left lane, wait for the Octoballers to pass, activate and use the Gusher ahead to get up, then drop off at the front and race to the platform on the left with the launchpad to the next checkpoint.

Checkpoint 5

Ahead is a series of platforms with extendable blocks powered by Ink Switches. Hit the first Ink Switch and climb onto the extended block. Get onto the stable platform ahead, defeat the Octotrooper ahead if needed, then turn right. Ahead is a wide lane gradually rising, regularly swept through by a lane of Kingpin Octoballers, with multiple extendable blocks that can push the Kingpin Octoballers off and provide height for the player to proceed. Power the first Ink Switch and push off the two Octotroopers ahead, and possibly a Kingpin Octoballer. Climb onto the extended block and hit the next Ink Switch ahead to keep the block extended. Get onto the uninkable platform ahead to get to the final checkpoint.

Final Checkpoint

Time and climb up the wall ahead. Hit the Ink Switch to the left and climb onto the extended block. Hit the next Ink Switch ahead to keep the block extended. Get onto the uninkable platform ahead, go around the Octotrooper and Shielded Octotrooper guarding the Zapfish, and grab the Zapfish.

Marie's Quotes

Octoballers rolling in!
That's how you do it!
Oh, cool. More spinning platforms.
I'd just stick to the wall and wait for the right timing, if I were you.
Don't get rolled on!
Watch your step.
Look at those balloons. They're mocking you!
Go go!
Maybe take a second to plan your route before rushing forward.
Time your jumps and go go go!
Whew... You made it.
Look at all of those Octoballers! They're...actually pretty magnificent.
Wait, what? The path is blocked... I guess we should go back.
(Callie always hated heights...)
Nice. Let's keep going.
We've got ourselves a big one!
