Black Tee
The Black Tee is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Special Duration Up.

Appearance
The Black Tee is a short-sleeved black T-shirt. On the front are some large Inkling letters printed in white, and at the bottom is a tiny purple tag with the SquidForce logo in white. On the lower back is more white Inkling text, but much smaller than that on the front. In Splatoon 3, the shirt can be changed into an oversized version using the 'Adjust Gear' feature.
It is similar to the White Tee and Basic Tee, albeit black.

Abilities
The Black Tee comes with Special Duration Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Black Tee comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Damage Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slot.

The Black Tee comes with Special Power Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Black Tee comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slot.

The Black Tee comes with Special Power Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 0-star item, the Black Tee comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slots.

Trivia
- The Black Tee is the cheapest purchasable piece of gear with Special Duration Up in Splatoon.
- The logo on this and the White Tee loosely resembles the Japanese word for "squid" (いか ika) in hiragana, like the Splatoon version of the Basic Tee. Unlike the Basic Tee, however, the logos of the Black and White Tees were not changed for Splatoon 2.
- Inkling Girl's green variant wears the Black Tee in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
