Rachel Scarfe

University of Edinburgh

I am a lecturer (assistant professor) in economics at the University of Stirling. Previously, I was an Early Career Researcher in economics at the University of Edinburgh.  My research interests are in macroeconomics and labour economics, particularly non-standard contracts, including zero-hours contracts and part-time work.

I also have a supporting interest in labour markets in sports. Unlike in other labour markets, we can measure the individual productivity of sports players very accurately, and analyse the relationship between productivity and wages.

I was selected for the European Assocation of Labour Economists' Tour in 2024.

My CV is available here.
