Westminster Bridge is a road traffic and foot bridge over the River Thames between Westminster and Lambeth, in London. It is right next to the Houses of Parliament.
History
[change | change source]Until Westminster Bridge was built in 1750, there was only one bridge[1] crossing the River Thames.[2]
In June 2012, the bridge was highlighted on the route of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the Thames.[3]
