Hi, my name is Ilya Kompasov and I'm Russian cultural manager currently living in Germany. I mostly edit Russian, German, English and simple English Wikipedia. I'm especially interested in enriching the articles with photos and videos. Currently I work for the simpleshow foundation, a non-profit organization that produces explainer videos to all kind of topics. We're building up a community of volunteer authors and experts including some Wikipedians that "donate" their knowledge, while simpleshow foundation supports them to put their know-how into short explainer videos. These videos are published under a free license (CC BY-SA 3.0) on Wikicommons and Youtube, and can be used as Open Educational Resources. I've run 3 video workshops with Wikipedians: on Wikimania 2015, with Wikimedia Netherlands & on Wikimania 2016. Our collaboration with Wikipedia started with the workshop with Wikimedia Austria.
