Template:GeoSource/doc

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template simplifies the use of frequently-quoted geographical reference sources. It is based on the 2011 version of the template GeoQuelle from German Wikipedia, but is not restricted to German language sources. The aim is a uniform display of the reference and simplified maintenance in the event of changes to referenced online sources. The references are taken from the subtemplate {{GeoSource/list}}.

The reference is embedded as standard in <ref></ref> in order to display them in the "References" section. However it can also be displayed as normal text (enter "ref=no").

Parameters

[change source]

Syntax: [PREFIX]{{GeoSource|<1>|<2>[|<3>|<4>][|ref=no]}}[SUFFIX]

<2>: reference used

PREFIX: optional prefix (placed as text in front of the reference)
SUFFIX: optional suffix (placed as text behind the reference)
REF-NAME: optional name for the reference
