"Was removed from office" means the person was in a political office, people did something and now that someone is no longer in that office. The term is most often used for when a leader of a country is replaced for some reason (other than assassination) and often involves forcing the replacement leader. In this article the term is not entirely correctly used as Nicholas II was a king. He was not actually in a politcal office (President, Prime minister, etc), "removed from the throne" would be more correct. -- Creol(talk) 13:12, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
