Genta Miura (三浦 弦太, Miura Genta, born March 1, 1995) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.

Biography

Miura was born in Toyohashi on March 1, 1995. After graduating from Osaka Toin High School, he joined J1 League club Shimizu S-Pulse in 2013. However he could not play many matches and Shimizu was relegated to J2 League at the end of the 2015 season. In 2016, he played many matches and Shimizu reached second place in the J2 League and was returned to the J1 League in a year. In 2017, he moved to J1 club Gamba Osaka. He became a regular player as center back from 2017.

In November 2017, Miura was selected the Japan national team for 2017 E-1 Football Championship. At this tournament, he debuted against China on December 12. In 2019, he played at 2019 Asian Cup and Japan won the 2nd place. He played 10 games and scored 1 goal for Japan until 2019.
