Control is the third studio album by American recording artist Janet Jackson. It was released on February 4, 1986, by A&M Records. It was her first album after she had fired her father, Joseph Jackson as her manager.[1] Since the album's release it has been certified platinum.[2] It is one of her most known albums. It has sold over 14 million copies worldwide.[3]
