Robin Roberts

Robin René Roberts (born November 23, 1960)[1] is an American television news reporter. She reports on Good Morning America from the ABC News. She became the co-anchor in 2005. Roberts also worked for ESPN for 15 years. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.[2]
Roberts was born in Tuskegee, Alabama.
Personal life
[change | change source]In 2007, Roberts said she had breast cancer.[3]
On 2012, she said that she had a bone marrow disease called myelodysplastic syndrome.[4] She left Good Morning America for a while to get bone marrow transplants and returned on February 20, 2013.[5][6]
In December 2013, Roberts announced she was a lesbian.[7] She married massage therapist Amber Laign in September 2023.[8]
