Timothy David Snyder (Ohio, 18.8. 1969. - ) je američki historičar, autor i akademik. Profesor je na sveučilištu Yale te je specijaliziran za historiju srednje i istočne Europe, te Holokaust. Njegovo najpoznatije i najhvaljenije djelo je Bloodlands (Krvave zemlje), koje opisuje historiju Centralne i Istočne Evrope između 1933. i 1945. godine sa posebnim naglaskom na masakre tamošnjeg stanovništva uslijed staljinističke i nacističke politike. Snyder je također i član Saveta za inostrane odnose, jednog od najuticajnijih američkih trustova mozgova.
