Robert Taylor (5. august 1911 - 8. jun 1969) bio je američki glumac i pjevač, poznat po izuzetno uspješnoj karijeri u klasičnom Hollywoodu i nizu raznorodnih uloga među kojima se ističu one u historijskim spektaklima početkom 1950-ih. Taylor, koji je 1930-ih naučio pilotirati avione, u Drugom svjetskom ratu je služio kao instruktor u mornaričkoj avijaciji. Godine 1944. je postao jedan od osnivača desničarskog i antikomunističkog Filmskog saveza za očuvanje američkih ideala, te je za vrijeme makartističkih progona javno svjedočio protiv svojih komunističkih kolega koje su zbog toga završili na crnoj listi.
