The Polish Association of Listed Companies is a self-government organization of companies listed on the Stock Exchange, in which the membership is voluntary.
Ordinary Members of Association are residents, members of stock exchange listed companies; however, the companies themselves, as legal persons, have the status of Supporting Members. Association has been in existence since 1993.
Objective of Association is to enable the co-operation of issuers in order to develop citizen consciousness and responsibility, evolution of Polish economic and social life towards the creation of market economy and improvement of organizational capacity of its members, as well as deepening the understanding and co-operation among people.
Association appeals to the tradition of economic activity, resourcefulness, economy, and rationality in action.
The Association undertakes the works conducive to development of capital market through educational, promotion, and lobbying activities.
It acts to integrate the environment of securities issuers by organizing training and seminars; it represents common interest of this group of entities.
The basic method of Association’s work is to communicate to the market regulators the expectations concerning the improvement of securities market performance, and to formulate the proposals to change legal regulations, which would increase the stock exchange attractiveness as a place, where the capital for economic entities can be raised.
The Polish Association of Listed Companies is a member of EuropeanIssuers, an organisation representing listed companies from all over Europe. Miroslaw Kachniewski, President of the Polish Association of Listed Companies, is a member of EuropeanIssuers Board, where members dicuss legislative proposals that may affect all EU listed companies.
The Association is a member of the Agreement for Development of Polish Capital Market and a member of the Council of Capital Market at the Ministry of Finance.
Pursuant to the law on supervision over capital market, Polish Association of Listed Companies has the right to participate in the sittings of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority as an adviser in all matters of meaning to the companies listed on the Stock Exchange.
Polish Association of Listed Companies operates pursuant to the Law on Associations, its charter, and in compliance with the legal order of the Republic of Poland.
