School of Public Law

The School of Public Law was established in 2020 by transforming the school of public law disciplines and currently provides a full-fledged educational cycle within the public branch of law.

Currently, our School brings together over 60 highly qualified specialists in various areas of public law, including constitutional law and process, municipal law, financial law, tax law, customs law, administrative law and process, environmental law, land law, labor law and social security law. 15 employees of the department have academic degrees of Doctor of Law.

Our mission is to ensure the teaching of public law disciplines at the Higher School of Economics at the level of the world's leading universities, taking into account the specifics of student training profiles. Formation of a qualitatively new approach to the implementation of public authority and the construction of interaction with state bodies and local self-government bodies. The school takes an active part in the implementation of educational programs at the Higher School of Economics.

Priority tasks of the School of Public Law:

Carrying out research and consulting work on topical areas in the field of constitutional law, municipal law, financial law, tax law, administrative law, environmental law, land law, labor law;

Training of specialists in the field of public law;

Organization and implementation of basic educational programs of higher education for undergraduate levels in the areas of "Law", "Law: private law" and magistracy in the programs "Public law and Public finance", as well as training of scientific and pedagogical personnel;

Carrying out research work necessary for the development of regulatory documents in the field of legal regulation of public administration, strategies and concepts, the implementation of other consulting and design work on a contractual basis;

Organization and implementation of joint research projects with foreign universities and scientific organizations.
