Although awkward at first, the two begin to reminisce on their relationship, their affection begins to rekindle until Nash takes it too far talking about the intimate moments they once shared forcing Veronica to step away. Nash follows her, apologizes and explains that maybe it wasn't their destiny after all. He uses an elderly man near them as an example that destiny didn't disappoint the elderly man, as he's still happy reading his book alone, even without a wife beside him. Although, heartbroken Veronica accepts that they're not meant to be, but the two still agree they had some amazing moments together. They then walk away as friends, but just as they leave the wife of the elderly man walks in to sit beside him. See less
