Florence Lassandro was dubbed the Mob Princess, and her spirit is one of many seen on the grounds and in the preserved buildings of this historic site. :: [Laurel Caverns - Uniontown, Pennsylvania] This vast cavern going forty-six stories below ground was naturally formed, but is the scene of many supernatural encounters. The spirits of an outlaw, a murdered bride and a French soldier are just a few of the ghosts that walk these dark caves, while the grounds above the caverns are home to the spirits of scarred and bloodied plane crash victims. Terrifying encounters have been reported both above and below the ground. :: [Mary Ellen Spook Farm - Antigonish, Nova Scotia] In the early 1900's Mary Ellen, an orphaned girl was adopted by a childless couple, but this compassionate act would lead to terror, as the child was tormented by dangerous poltergeists that set mysterious fires around her. The family was eventually driven from their home and the property where it stood is now a campground, and is also the scene of many mysterious fires, and ghostly encounters. :: [Gallows Hill - Wilmington, North Carolina] Once the Cities hanging ground, Gallows Hill is now an architect's office. Though the gallows are long gone, the unclaimed bodies of those poor souls who hit the end of a rope are still buried in mass graves, and may be walking the grounds, and hallways of the property.
