This official app is free. Gemini gives you direct access to Google’s best family of AI models on your phone so you can:
- Get help with writing, brainstorming, learning, and more
- Summarize and find quick info from Gmail or Google Drive
- Use text, voice, photos and your camera to get help in new ways
- Say “Hey Google” to ask Gemini for help with what’s on your phone screen
- Make plans with Google Maps and Google Flights
If you have access to Gemini Advanced it will be right here in the Gemini app.
The Gemini app is now live in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more languages. See the full list of supported languages and countries here:

If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on the phone. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet — including controlling media and routines. You can switch back to Google Assistant in settings.

this is a really good chat app, however its missing a few features that would make it even better than competition. first, it would be nice if there was a way to exclude specific messages from human reviewing before sending, for private info safety. second, it would be nice if the conversation's name automatically updated every few messages so it would describe the conversation more accurately, and it would be easier to find a specific convo if you have a lot.

So primitive I almost threw my phone out the window. Can't browse the internet. Understands what you say 10x worse than chatgpt, boring endless bulletpoints answers which completely break the flow of a natural conversation, no customisation of answering style, forgets what you say, keeps lying or giving inaccurate information accidentally, doesn't even know its own name. This is one of the most catastrophic AI I've ever witnessed.

"I recently downloaded the Gemini AI app, but I’m experiencing issues with the language settings. The app automatically displays everything in Hindi, a language I do not understand, and I am unable to find an option to change it to English. This has made it difficult to navigate and use the app effectively. I would appreciate it if the developers could make the language settings more accessible, especially for users who are not familiar with Hindi. Thank you."
