seems to up again with the new message now. I appreciate the suggestion for the more long-term fix but I'd actually like to take this down in the not-so-distant future. As I said, we haven't been returning any actual recommendations through this API for three months now and it was always an experimental service without specific uptime expectations. In the time that we've switched to the deprecation notice, I haven't had anyone reach out to ask questions or raise concerns so I will aim to take this down in the next month unless I hear a good reason not to. this should help us avoid future issues like this and the Mediawiki page on GapFinder will remain: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/GapFinder

thanks for reporting -- in trying to update I may have taken the service down and I'm not fully sure why. I'll look into it further but if it turns out to be a bigger issue, this might be the point where the API deprecation notice at recommend.wmflabs is no longer is needed (it's been up for about three months with just the verbal redirect but returning no results).

I've updated the task description to hopefully clarify things. I dont believe its necessary to get product input, this doesnt result in any visual changes, nor are we changing any of the copy. We are simply changing how the copy is read out to screen reader users in a more accessible way.

Closing this task as we completed migrating the content translation recommendation API to LiftWing, and the Language Team is making improvements to it in T369484: Modernize recommendation API.

It makes multiple lists for every column where for sighted users it is only one (but separated by columns), distorting things like the correct amount of items, for example.
