Wikimedia is not a wiki hosting service. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Hosting_services if you want to host your wiki.

For readers and authors: See and follow https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_new_projects instead for public wikis, and follow https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Affiliations_Committee/Resolutions/Wikimedia_wiki's_policy for private affiliate wikis.

For Wikimedia technical folks: This is for requests for creation of a Wikimedia Foundation-hosted wiki - follow https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Setting_up_an_internal_Wikimedia_wiki for required information!

IMPORTANT: Language projects should be approved by the Language committee (requests for new languages).

NOTE: Creating new wikis is not a priority for SRE / Wikimedia-Site-requests, as it's a cumbersome process that involves many steps and many people. Therefore some time can elapse between the approval of the creation and the actual creation of the wiki. Please be patient. Thanks for your understanding.
