Request Description: To avoid the instability that WDQS currently faces, Wikimedia Commons Query Service needs a way to prevent and limit the types of queries that pose a risk to the availability of the service.

Thanks for filing this. Noting for now that we do not know a way of predicting whether a query will be problematic before we run it. This ticket to collect queries that cause Blazegraph to lock up may be required before being able to screen/block bad queries: T290901

As @MPhamWMF stated above, there is no actionable next steps for the data access level of increasing sustainability of WCQS.
