When using MediaViewer on a desktop computer, users can use the Escape key to exit a full-screen view of media.

Starting in IPadOS 13.4, Safari on iPad devices load the desktop version of sites. For Wikimedia wikis, that’s Vector.

As iPad keyboards (even those made by Apple!) don’t have an Escape key, users are instructed to use the Command + . in place of Escape.

Command + . (Period) is a system-wide substitute for the Escape command (Going back to the original MacOS) but it is not recognized by MediaViewer on iPadOS.

Would it be possible to add support for Command +. for this OS?

Note, there is a work-around for folks. You can set a different key, say the Caps Lock to send the Escape command in Settings.
