- Social Media Page on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Social_media
- Move https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Social_media#Statistics to separate sub page
- Create "Historical data" section for meetup and G+, to be collapsed -- declined, not needed as EVERYTHING is historical
- Note that translations have to be copied manually -- declined because why care about data from many years ago
- Move https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Social_media#Statistics to separate sub page
- Update sidebar link on mw.org to point to new tech blog at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Blog-url
- Add an item to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Template:MediaWiki_News
- Fix https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Communication#Blog which says: The '''[[m:Wikimedia Blog|Wikimedia Blog]]''' has a tech section specifically for news and information from the Wikimedia Foundation’s Technology department ([https://blog.wikimedia.org/c/technology/ link] - [https://blog.wikimedia.org/c/technology/feed RSS feed]).
- Add a link to old Foundation blog at https://blog.wikimedia.org/category/technology/ (which now redirects to https://diff.wikimedia.org/category/technology/ since T254367) to point to the new tech blog for tech-savvy /-interested users --- done in T258104
- Add new tech blog to English Planet Wikipedia at https://en.planet.wikimedia.org/ via https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Planet_Wikimedia#Requests_for_inclusion: 485c1ae96c639e0ba1271dde5859755c4adcb1a5
- Update https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog :
- Differentiate: Explain which different "blogs" are out there that people might look for
- Potentially stop linking the term "Wikimedia Blog" to https://wikimediafoundation.org/news/ as that page lists the term "blog" zero times? - declined instead
- Mention the tech blog and differentiate author audience: Currently says that community focused blog posts can be submitted to Wikimedia Space.
- Also update subpage https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog#Drafting%20a%20post if needed
- Result: Added "Other blogs" section to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog and added a sentence to "Drafting a post" section. (And removed reference to Wikimedia Space and added header to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Space/Editorial_guidelines that Space is not active anymore).
- https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Communication welcomes more cleanup:
- Remove "Basics" section as that is not about Communication but about registering an account
- Do not link to experimental https://discourse-mediawiki.wmflabs.org/

@Aklapper: "Update sidebar link on mw.org to point to new tech blog at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Blog-url" &
"Add an item to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Template:MediaWiki_News" requires admin rights. Could you take over those 2 items? Will work on the rest today.
ähm -- I meant "after the email to Wikitech etc. is out" ;) - but should be ok - Sarah planned to send the announcements out in PST morning (= in 3-4 hours).
@Bmueller: I apologize that contacting me via Phab or email works quite well, unfortunately. ;)
Add a link to old Foundation blog at https://blog.wikimedia.org/c/technology/ to point to the new tech blog for tech-savvy /-interested users
Anyone has an idea how to do that? An Apache Redirect would make that page inaccessible. Was wondering if it's possible to add a description (like in Wordpress via "Post 🡒 Categories 🡒 Edit 🡒 Description") but that site does not seem to have an archive-description area (or something else which looks like a place for this).
This is done apart from "Add a link to old Foundation blog at https://blog.wikimedia.org/c/technology/ to point to the new tech blog for tech-savvy /-interested users" (see my previous comment). Might decline if nobody has an idea how to do that.

And looks like T254367: Switch blog.wikimedia.org to diff.wikimedia.org directly collides with this item.
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Social_media still needs a bigger update, probably involving a review and some updates by @srodlund, e.g. covering what's the process for people who are not in WMF to get their content published, and on which account (scope per account). To be further discussed.
Currently working on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Social_media. This will be a total rewrite.
Is the point about adding a link to old Foundation blog meant to be about https://blog.wikimedia.org/category/technology/ instead of https://blog.wikimedia.org/c/technology/ as the later url redirects to a blog post and https://blog.wikimedia.org/category/technology/ has a link to the techblog so the box should probably be ticked
