These benefits are designed to support you throughout your leadership journey, keeping you connected to the latest economic insights and a network of like-minded peers.
The OUBEP Alumni Network provides opportunities to stay connected and engaged after completing the programme. Our annual reunions in London offer a chance to catch up with fellow alumni, hear from expert speakers, and reflect on the ongoing impact of your OUBEP experience. These events are designed to foster meaningful connections and support professional development in a straightforward, approachable setting.
In addition to reunions, we host webinars and online discussions that cover emerging economic trends and current global challenges. These sessions keep alumni informed and engaged, ensuring that the learning and connections built during the programme continue to grow over time. Through these activities, OUBEP remains a resource for thoughtful conversations and valuable relationships, long after the programme has ended.
“You have access to world class economists – you are immersed
in their thinking and you take time out of your busy schedule
to challenge, debate and learn, both with experts and with the
other participants on the course. I think that is what sets it
apart from other courses I’ve done. The lecturers and guest
speakers are all top class and so its a very worthwhile investment.
You can then put that learning into practice when you return
to the day-job. Additionally, with the group work, case studies
and debating that you do as part of the programme, it helped
to build my confidence in areas where I lacked self-belief.”
I have already used my learning in various ways – managing economic development programmes and using tools to work though ideas and options for allocation of budget and resource.
It has enhanced my capability and credibility when delivering economic debate with customers and stakeholders.
I have gained more knowledge, and along with that comes more confidence. An excellent development programme if you want to have a deeper understanding of the economy.

OUBEP Yearbook
OUBEP’s Summer Programme Yearbook explores over 72 years of history. Founded in 1953, the history of the Oxford University Business Economics Programme is in many ways the history of changing social attitudes towards business in Britain over the past 71 years. It also forms an interesting backdrop to the development of university-based business schools in Europe and the UK.
