Bobby Darin (14. mai 1936–20. desember 1973), fødd Walden Robert Perciville Cassotto, var ein amerikansk songar, skodespelar og musikar.[1]
Darin spelte songar innan mange musikksjangrar, som pop, rock, jazz, folk og country. Av dei mest kjente innspelingane hans finn ein «Dream Lover», «Mack the Knife» og «Things» Sjølv om det ikkje var offentleg kjend, hadde han store hjarteproblem heile livet og dette motiverte han sterkt til å oppnå suksess innan den avgrensa levetida han frykta han hadde, noko han òg fekk. Han døydde like etter ein hjarteoperasjon i 1973.
Han var òg skodespelar, låtskrivar og starta eigne musikkselskap. Ønsket hans var å «bli hugsa som menneske og som ein stor artist»[2]
Darin gifta seg med Sandra Dee. Dei møttest under innspelinga av filmen Come September (1961). Dei lagde fleire filmar i lag ved Universal Studios som hadde moderat suksess. Dei fekk ein son, Dodd Mitchell Darin, før dei skilde seg i 1967.
Livet hans er skildra i filmen Beyond the Sea frå 2004, der Kevin Spacey spelar hovudrolla og syng. Darin har fått ei stjerne på Hollywood Walk of Fame og vart i 1990 innlemma i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I 1959 vann han Grammyprisen for beste nykommar, og i 1962 Golden Globe for beste mannlege nykommar.
