English: WASHINGTON (Oct. 28, 2019) The Honorable Under Secretary of the Navy, Thomas B. Modly, actor Patrick Wilson, actor Ed Skrein, actor Luke Kleintank, and Rear Admiral Frank Thorp attend a special advance screening of the upcoming film “Midway” held at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington. “Midway” is based on the events following the attack on Pearl Harbor and what led to the Battle of Midway, which is considered to be the turning point of World War II in the Pacific. The movie aims to remind viewers just how precariously America’s future teetered in the early 1940s, and what cost, sacrifice and luck were required to achieve a free and open Indo-Pacific.
