Cornelius Vanderbilt (27 Mei 1794 – 4 Januari 1877), digelar "Commodore", ialah seorang tokoh perniagaan Amerika yang membina kekayaannya dalam kereta api dan perkapalan.[1][2] Selepas bekerja dengan perniagaan bapanya, Vanderbilt bekerja dalam kedudukan kepimpinan dalam perdagangan air pedalaman dan melabur dalam industri kereta api yang berkembang pesat, dengan berkesan mengubah geografi Amerika Syarikat.
