Re: Mail
[edit]While you're already unblocked, I do not think that promoting your site is not to be allowed on this (and on a lot of) wiki. I understand that your project is a non-commercial one, but this doesn't mean that you can use hundreds of Wikimedia Project users' pages as a cheap advertising service! --M/ 12:13, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Statistics for fr.wikt
[edit]Sorry for delay. In this moment I have working engine for Wikinews and not yet well tested engine for all Wikimedia sites. I hope that I'll make a working engine at least for Wiktionary in the next couple of weeks. When I finish that, I'll let you know that it exists. --Millosh 09:15, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. JackPotte 17:08, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
I saw your change in recentchanges, but next time follow the instructions and ask at Meta:Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat, or you may be less lucky. ;-) --Nemo 22:01, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Fundraising translation feedback
[edit]Hey JackPotte,
I wanted to ask for your help. As you may be aware we have been running banners on many language wikis. We have a lot of new content this year and I really want to conduct a thorough review of our translations. This is a combination of feedback from the community, readers, donors as well as those with professional translator experience. This will help us ensure the highest quality of translations used in our messaging.
To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to give us feedback in french using This Link
Simply follow the simple instructions on that page and if you have any questions feel free to contact me on my talk page.
Many Thanks

Cross-wiki watchlist
[edit]Hi! You voted for the cross-wiki watchlist as an important suggestions in the community wishlist survey last year. I'm pinging editors who showed interest in that task to tell them we have some suggestions for how things could look, if you'd like to glance at them and give us some feedback. You can find them on the project page on Meta. If you'd like to share any comments, you're very welcome to do so on the talk page. /Johan (WMF) (talk) 00:55, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your participation in IdeaLab during the Inspire Campaign focused on improving content curation & review processes from February to March 2016. I'm interested in hearing your feedback about your participation during campaign, so if you're able, I invite you to complete this brief survey to describe how you contributed to the campaign and how you felt about participating.
Immediate results of the campaign can be found here. Please feel free to review them and let me know if you have any questions about the campaign or the survey. Thanks! I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 02:31, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
Through June, we’re organizing an Inspire Campaign to encourage and support new ideas focusing on addressing harassment toward Wikimedia contributors. The 2015 Harassment Survey has shown evidence that harassment in various forms - name calling, threats, discrimination, stalking, and impersonation, among others - is pervasive. Available methods and systems to deal with harassment are also considered to be ineffective. These behaviors are clearly harmful, and in addition, many individuals who experience or witness harassment participate less in Wikimedia projects or stop contributing entirely.
Proposals in any language are welcome during the campaign - research projects, technical solutions, community organizing and outreach initiatives, or something completely new! Funding is available from the Wikimedia Foundation for projects that need financial support. Constructive feedback on ideas is appreciated, and collaboration is encouraged - your skills and experience may help bring someone else’s project to life. Join us at the Inspire Campaign so that we can work together to develop ideas around this important and difficult issue. With thanks,

2016 Community Wishlist Survey
[edit]Hi,
You’re getting this message because you participated in the 2015 Community Wishlist Survey and we want to make sure you don't miss it this year – or at least can make the conscious choice to ignore if it you want to. The 2015 survey decided what the Community Tech team should work on during 2016. It was also the focus of Wikimedia hackathons and work by other developers. You can see the status of wishes from the 2015 wishlist at 2015 Community Wishlist Survey/Results.
The 2016 Community Wishlist Survey is now open for wishes. You can create proposals until November 20. You will be able to vote on which wishes you think are best or most important between November 28 and December 12. /Johan (WMF) (talk) via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Une page à supprimer...
[edit]Bonjour,
J'ai vu passer Synchbot/Archives/JackPotte#Migrate to global user page, qui semble avoir bien marché.
Cordialement --NicoScribe (talk) 12:42, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

--Eunostos (talk) 08:03, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

The TWUG on space.wmflabs.org
[edit]Hello JackPotte
A few months ago, WMF opened a new discussion space. Since our user group has some difficulties to communicate (not everyone sees the messages that are posted on Talk:Wiktionary/Tremendous_Wiktionary_User_Group), I asked for a dedicated forum for the TWUG to be opened. It's happening here (there is no topic so far).
From now on, I invite you to follow the category to be informed as soon as a new topic is created. Pamputt (talk) 18:52, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

La page du règlement a été clarifiée.

Community Wishlist Survey 2020
[edit]Hello!
You are getting this message because you've previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey, in either the Wikisource or Wiktionary categories. I wanted to let you know that this year's survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until November 11. Unlike previous years, we are only accepting proposals for non-Wikipedia content projects with no dedicated teams (i.e., Wikibooks, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, Wikisource, Wikiversity, Wikispecies, Wikivoyage, and Wikinews). You can learn more on the survey page.
You can vote on proposals from November 20 to December 2. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won't send out a separate reminder to you about that. We look forward to your participation. Thank you! IFried (WMF) (talk) 18:52, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

Grazie ancora e a presto,

[edit]Bonjour.
- Bonjour, un consensus avait mis en évidence qu'une {{clé de tri}}

Merci, --Yun (talk) 08:57, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Merci, je vais corriger ça... JackPotte (talk) 21:12, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.
The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!
18:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!

Question sur JackBot
[edit]Salut JackPotte,
JackPotte (talk) 07:53, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
clé de tri
[edit]Bonjour,
Deux remarques concernant cette modification :
- il serait bon que les exemples dans la documentation du modèle fr:wikt:Modèle:recons intègre le paramètre lang-mot-vedette puisqu'il semble être nécessaire ;
Cordialement, --Yun (talk) 12:35, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
--Yun (talk) 14:35, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Questions regarding JackBot
[edit]Heyy! So i learned the existence of JackBot and i was wondering. I saw some plural that didnt have a page on the french wiktionnaire. Is there any way to make the bot create the pages or is it a 100% automatic? Thanks in advance! Qwantsi (talk) 11:40, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, it's automatic but it only knows a few templates for now: https://github.com/JackPotte/JackBot/blob/master/src/wiktionary/fr_wiktionary_create_inflexions.py#L78. JackPotte (talk) 11:56, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay! Thanks! Qwantsi (talk) 13:13, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
JackBot
[edit]Hi, I have a question regarding your bot. I'm new to pywikibot but I was wondering If I could use format translations [1] part of your bot and run it on ku.wikt to format the translation templates. Is this doable or do I need to know so much more before I can do this? Thank you!--Balyozxane (talk) 03:09, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Balyozxane: unfortunately I had coded this script a long time ago with bad practices preventing it to be used elsewhere fr.wikt (ex: hard-coded templates names). But if you have the time, I'll be glad to accept a pull request refactorizing this in a more generic way. JackPotte (talk) 09:40, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- That'd be great. Thank you. --Balyozxane (talk) 13:46, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
JackPotte (talk) 09:41, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
Removing Doublewiki from fr.wikiversity and fr.wikitionary
[edit]Hey, based on phab:T211314 and phab:T344544 the DoubleWiki extension has been undeployed. Would it be possible for you to remove the doublewiki gadgets from fr.wikiversity and fr.wikitionary? Sohom (talk) 16:06, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, sorry but I don't usually do pull requests on Gerrit for that. It's more for the Phabricator tickets guys. JackPotte (talk) 09:43, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
