Global JS
[edit]Are you having trouble with global JS? I made a script that can make global JS for users. PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:46, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I tried to enable global Twinkling, but it didn't work out... --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 20:32, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Did you try to follow the steps in the "not for the faint of heart" section of User:Snowolf/How_to_globally_Twinkle? Try installing my Global UP script, and then going to Special:Blankpage/globalsul (Krinkle), and then my script's page. Make sure you select "common.js" from the drop-down menu. Other than that, you can just submit with no other options changed (except maybe the overwrite/append/prepend). It is important to do mine right after doing Krinkle's. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:38, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Wait. Please tell me if you read this. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:47, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, done. --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 20:48, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- What now? --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 20:53, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- If you just ran Krinkle's script, go to Special:Blankpage/globalpage. The only setting you need to change of my script is to select "User:" and "/common.js" at the top. If the text box contains "$2" or "$1", replace it with "AmaryllisGardener". Keep all the checkboxes for wikis selected, and leave the other drop-down as "createonly". That should be the optimal settings. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:54, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- When you say "If you just ran Krinkle's script" does a little over a week ago count? --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 21:15, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, done. --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 21:28, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was away. The only reason you would want to run Krinkle's script first is to log in to all wikis (it might skip some of the chapter-wikis, though). I see you have already completed it. Is Twinkle working on small wikis now? PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:26, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- On small wikis I don't see a separate "TW" tab, but under the arrow I see the two links "Last" and "Unlink". (In addition to "Move") --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 22:45, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Do you see the revert/rollback links on diffs? If you're going to join the SWMT, that's the main thing you'll be using. The global version of Twinkle is still under development is quite limited (I am the only one working on it), so I have removed some enwiki-specific features like AfD. For requesting deletion, I installed User:Hoo man/Scripts/Tagger in my global.js. PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:51, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I do see the links. Thank you for your help! --AmaryllisGardener (talk) 22:56, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Global CSS/JS migration
[edit]Hello AmaryllisGardener. You have a global.js page which contains your global scripts for all wikis. Since August 19th, your global.js and global.css pages are now automatically loaded on all wikis (see announcement). Since you were already loading them before this feature, you may experience script errors or issues like tools being added twice. I can fix that for you by merging your local scripts and styles into your global pages, and deleting the local pages with synchbot. Do you want me to do that? —Pathoschild 17:19, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Pathoschild: That would be good. :) --AmaryllisGardener talk 19:20, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
- Done! You can see the full log on your archive page. Let me know if anything breaks. :) —Pathoschild 03:27, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

scowiki
[edit]How the hell did you get to be sysop at scowiki?
I was the one who implemented a vote for sysop there.
I won, but was overridden by PiRSquared who appeared out of nowhere to butt in.
You have been around since 2012 and you are a sysop?
What the fuck gives around this place these days.
Varlaam (talk) 03:53, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Varlaam: Excuse me? Well there was a good reason why you couldn't become an administrator, and that was your currently prevalent incivility. --AmaryllisGardener talk 17:47, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Should FuzzyBot remove all potentially outdated translations?

The Wikimedia Barnstar
[edit]Hey AmaryllisGardener,
So here, you said you'd prefer to receive a barnstar. I decided to create a barnstar. Originally for this process specifically but to be used more widely too. :)
As requested, and the first recipient, your Wikimedia Barnstar.
The Wikimedia Barnstar | ||
The Wikimedia Barnstar is given, by staff, to recognize particularly fine contributions to the Wikimedia Movement, both online and offline, to let people know that their hard work is seen and appreciated. Awards can be made for contributions to the online projects and supporting wikis like Outreach Wiki or Meta; or involvement in the Wikimedia Foundation or Wikimedia Affiliates whether as a Volunteer or Member of Staff. This particular award is given for:
Nearly 150,000 contributions and counting to various Wikimedia projects including the Scots & English Wikimedias, and Wikidata. Jseddon (WMF) (talk) 14:10, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
For fellow recipients, please see the Roll of Honour |
- @Jseddon (WMF): Wow, what an honor. Thank you! :) --AmaryllisGardener talk 23:34, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Positive thinking
[edit]Hi AmaryllisGardener, fortunately, Michael Dempster, the director of the Scots Language Centre based in Perth is not too negative about all your work in the past years:
Who knows, maybe in the end the Scots language wikipedia will have good content even though your contributions were not good enough themselves. At any rate you have been able to draw attention to this wikipedia and to the Scots language. Carol (talk) 12:45, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
