Château de Montsoreau
editBonjour,

מונסורו
editWell, Hebrew has its nuances in such cases. The letter Nun Has two forms: one for word endings (ן) and one for other cases (נ). Since מונסורו is apparently a portmanteau, the name will be considered as a single word, and therefore we will use the form of נ. Although the translation of the article in this case was amazingly good for a non-Hebrew speaker, it's highly recommended to consult with a Hebrew speaker before publishing an article. Machine translation can have tons of problems, especially in Hebrew. Mbkv717 (talk) 21:16, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
- Dear @Mbkv717:, thank you for the compliment. When I created this article, I had both in mind that in french language the "t" helps the "on" to be marked, as it is in "Mont-Saint-Michel" and that it was a transliteration and not a translation. Maybe we could add it as alias in wikidata? All my very best,--Philippe49730 (talk) 13:48, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
- If I understood correctly, you mean that you want to add מוןסורו as a nickname to the Wikidata item? If so, that form is absolutely incorrect, and I don't believe a Hebrew speaker will ever search by that form. Transliteration to Hebrew has a lot of challenges and difficulties, and unfortunately we mostly cannot have an optimal transliteration; For example we don't have a way in Hebrew to show the difference between French "o" and "eau" (both represented by "וֹ"), so we have to use compromises in many cases.
